Keep Publisher files editable in PowerPoint, Canva or Google Slides
A PDF is great for keeping and printing, but you cannot easily update next month's newsletter from it. The closest thing to Publisher that most offices already have is PowerPoint: it places text boxes and pictures freely on a page of any size.
PubOut Pro turns each page of a .pub file into a slide of the same size, with real text boxes, pictures, shapes and tables you can edit. PowerPoint files also open in Canva and Google Slides.
What to expect
- Text stays live text, in the same font if you have it.
- Pictures and simple shapes stay separate objects you can move.
- Linked text boxes become separate boxes, and some complex shapes become plain rectangles.
Keep your original .pub files too. Conversion is a good starting point, not a pixel-perfect copy, so check anything important.
Questions
Can Canva open .pub files?
Not directly. Convert to PowerPoint first and then upload that to Canva.
Does this work offline?
Yes. PubOut Pro is a file you keep. It runs in your browser with no internet connection.
