A free viewer for Publisher (.pub) files

Microsoft's help page says Publisher has no viewer of its own, and the app is now leaving Microsoft 365. PubOut lets you read a .pub file in your browser with nothing to install and no account.

How it works

Choose a .pub file and it appears on the page. Your browser reads it on your own computer, and the tool does not upload its contents or its name. The site may send anonymous usage events to analytics.

What to expect

PubOut needs a modern browser. It has been tested in Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows and on a phone. If a publication uses a font your computer does not have, PubOut warns you and uses the closest match. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.
